The Kind Of Outfit That You Teenage In

I had no choice but to use "Teenage" as a verb rather than an adjective.

I was wearing this when I was teenaging, and teen-aging extremely well if you ask me.  There's honestly something special about having a friend group who you can be comfortable to be a fool around.  I'm extremely lucky that these beautiful people and I are so close-knit and comfortable with each other, even only knowing each other for like two(going on three) years.

Being a junior in high school is weird, all this talk about college and scholarships is in the forefront and all you want to do is lie on the floor and listen to chill music like Homeshake.

And sometimes that's just what you gotta do.  After school, before we started doing homework, we just hung out... We didn't go anywhere, we just sat and enjoyed each other's company and made jokes and just really had fun just doing nothing, and I think that's what being a teenager is about.

It's not about drinking, drugs, sex (like skins)

It's about learning about yourself and the world and your interests, and spending time with people you love and being pretty careless.

While we were hanging out, my best friend Da'Quan made a joke (yeah, a sexual one) and instead of getting weird and flustered like I would a year or two ago, I joked back, and he was like "Wow, Alijah, you're growing up!" and I was like "Woah, you're right!"

And then I proceeded to force him and Eve-lynn to watch Mac Demarco's My Kind Of Woman music video :-)

Pirate Meets Train Conductor In The Appalachian Valley

The title speaks for itself.

I wore this on a very great day... I rode the trolley around with Chantel and just sat and talked about everything for a long time, it was great and extremely enjoyable.

I just love spending time with my friends because they're such great people and I know they're always going to be there for me no matter what, great people like that are hard to find, and I'm a lucky lil duck because I get to spend 8 hours a day 5 days a week with the people I love.

Shorts

Sometimes when you have one piece of something it just kinda makes everything better ya know?

These shorts did it for me.

They were just enough to justify my pretending to be Marie Antoinette 

(justification for that is hard to come by)

But yeah, sometimes it's the simple things that make everything else a liiiittle bit better, like these shorts.

Schoooooooooooool

I just started going back to school this week, and I honestly believe in the saying "life's too short to wear boring clothes." I try my very best not to be boring, but it's easy not being boring when your entire existence relies on being the coolest person ever all the time :-) *kidding*

But seriously! It's fun wearing fun clothes!

PS I'm blogging from my back porch, I've been out here since 9am trying to get homework done and I'm getting so so so sidetracked, I really need to learn how to focus!
