so yesterday i decided to wear a super glittery gold shirt

with a black skater skirt

yesterday was fun.

i tried to write an existentialist short story

(which is hard bc i suck as a writer)

oh funny story, so yesterday instead of cleaning up the back porch 

(like my mom told me to)

i thought it would be a good idea to take some selfies so lol

Teenage Days

I've been tossing the idea in my head over and over again.

I've been dreading it, I've been excited about it, and I've thought about it a lot

and I thought the best way to go about it was to JUST DO IT!

So, here I am... Just doing it.

My 50th blog post.

Well alright.

50 posts.

That's huge considering I'm bad at commitment and I 

NEVER keep up with/commit to anything. 

Which is why this is important to me.

So, I'm going to tell you about my day... And why it matters.

Today started out *ugh*

I woke up at 7am (ON A SATURDAY!!!)

and I couldn't get back to sleep. 

So I read some Gertrude Stein.

And then I met my best friend/sister/partner in crime Yoshmeek downtown for breakfast...

Then we went to Center in the Square and we went to the very top of the building and then we went inside the science museum (which was frickin' awesome by the way)

and then we went and got ice cream and just walked around a little

and then we went to the art museum.

which was rad. :)

and then

i went home for about 10 minutes

until Celine came and picked me up and drove me to barnes and noble and we talked about Gertrude Stein, life, and teenagerdom.

(which was great)

and then Alex came and then we all went to Five Guys and bought a mountain of fries and ate free peanuts (yay for free stuff)

and then we left and celine took me home :)

(let me say i could write an entire post about how much i love celine)

(well celine dropped me off at chantel's but she wasn't there so i walked home and walked through the park *that's the source of the photos*)

then i got home

I was home for like 20 minutes

until DaQuan and Chantel came to mi casa 

and then we walked through the park

and to Chantel's 

and I was there enjoying the company of my honorary siblings

and i literally laughed until my ribs were sore

I clarified some things

and I reached a point where I know exactly what I need to do right now.

I need to remove the toxic people from my life

which is what i'm going to do.

and i'm pretty excited about it

*EXCUSE THE LENGTH OF THIS POST HOLY GUAC IM RANTING*

but i kind of realized that life is fuckin' rad

and like it's so cool

and i love it man i really do

and I'm so excited for it

IM EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE!!!

and i realized that I'm Alijah Webb

and I DO give a fuck

but only about the things and the people who matter :)

so that's that

and I feel so good I can't handle it 

LIKE I REALIZED THAT FRIENDSHIP IS AN AMAZING THING!!! AND TO JUST BE WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE AND TO TRUST THEM AND TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM IS JUST LIKE A BEAUTIFUL THING AND I JUST AM SO HAPPY TO BE FRIENDS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO I'M FRIENDS WITH LIKE I'M SO LUCKY TO HAVE THEM IN MY LIFE.

and i'm so happy we get to experience teenage life together because i know that us Former Freshies will stay together forever.

like shoutout to my sophomore babes

(started from the bottom and we're slightly higher in the high school food chain)

I love them all, really.

and I'm honored to graduate with them

and I'm thankful I get to spend the rest of high school with them

and i realized that ITS A MILLION PERCENT OKAY TO CARE! just don't let your caring eat you alive!! Its alright to care about the people who matter to you and the things that matter TO YOU. 

If you care about littering 

THEN BE PASSIONATE AND CARE ABOUT IT!!!

IT'S OKAY!

and i've been trying so hard not to care for a very long time

but i do care

and it's ok

because in all of my caring

I'm still happy and i'm excited and I'm FABULOUS

AND IM GREAT AND IM HAPPY !!!

I AM HAPPY!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!!

like i'm just super exited for the future

and i'm glad i get to spend it with people i can be carefree-happy around

like the happy where you don't have to care about 

looking dumb around or you don't have to worry about them stealing your creativity bc they have their own

and you can just love each other and LAUGH and just make each other happy.

I'm just so extremely thankful and I don't know how else to express it other than in a post like this.

ahhhhhh i can't like explain how much i love the sophomore friend group it's so like fun and great and easy and I just love them all so much

FRIENDSHIP IS JUST SUCH A BEAUTIFUL THING

like i feel like such a teenager right now

and it's because i have some freaking amazing friends 

whom i couldn't trade for the world

our friendship just feels right.

and it's something i care about

with people i care about

More like me staying home and occasionally leaving my house

to go downtown and ride the trolley with Lilly for like an hour.

Because that's literally all I've done.  It's only Wednesday.

BUT IT MEANS SPRING BREAK IS HALFWAY OVER ALREADY.

and I haven't done anything cool yet

I've just like sat inside my house alone watching Skins and Bob's Burgers on Netflix.
