Bad Fanfic Friday!

By bad fanfic Friday, I REALLY mean bad fanfic Friday.

Alright, so I’m currently taking a lit class… It’s not just any lit class, It’s Arthurian Lit. We’re doing some cool things like reading a lot of books and seeing how different people are perceiving the Arthur myths and their opinions and takes on it…

The biggest question is: Is it myth? Or is it REALITY?

(this is a bit of foreshadowing)

So, for the past two Fridays we’ve been doing this thing in class called a google quest. I may be a bit biased; but I’ve been finding the best/worst stuff.

Last Friday I brought in the funniest video ever. It’s a video of a metal band called “Alternate Reality” performing their song “The King That Never Was”

It’s pretty hilarious if I do say so myself.

And the one I showed in class today was an extremely bad fanfiction. It was poorly written; had peeing jokes, and Draco Malfoy.

This one was called “Draco in King Arthur’s Court”

College Visits || 2013

Hi, lovlies,
I stepped outside this afternoon and had the delight of feeling a slight chill.

Not the usual 90 degree heat that I usually feel on a summery Virginia afternoon.

It was refreshing and lovely, and got me thinking about Autumn.

My favorite season.

When I think about fall I think about school, feeling new, pumpkin patches, apple orchards, the sound of my Chuck Taylor’s crunching leaves under my feet and the overall warm yet chilly feeling that is Fall.

Also when I think of fall I think of NYFW, College, and touring college campuses with my mom.

It’s something we’ve done since the 8^th grade.

Every year, it’s always cool to see kids who are older than you just meandering about doing whatever they’re doing and usually looking pretty cool doing it.

Which is why I thought it would be fun to do a few polyvore sets of what to wear to a college campus tour.

(I haven’t done polyvore sets since seventh grade and I forgot how cool they actually are)

First Set:

This is a cute pink skater dress with a pair of white keds and a jean jacket. Usually, dresses can be a daunting thing but you can always casualize(is that even a word?) them by adding a pair of sneakers and a cool jean jacket.

Second Set:

CAT SWEATERS WILL FOREVER BE COOL. I don’t care what anyone says cat sweaters are fabulous and whoever wears them will obviously be fabulous too. I just love jumpers during the fall they’re so warm and cute and will probably never go out of style. I put this with a black skirt and a pair of oxfords.

Third Set:

I just really really like stripes. I think they’re so classy and cute and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone who can’t rock a striped shirt. This is a pretty nice and casual look which features the ever trendy combat boots. I personally like the trend, but nobody gives credit where it’s due : to the cool kids who wore them before they were super trendy and were just seen as goth boots.

I thought these were some pretty cute outfits, but honestly just wear whatever you feel comfortable in! If you feel fabulous, chances are you’re probably looking fabulous as well.

Sweet Simplicity. (Or Just Laziness?)

So, today was my first day of sophomore year.

It’s weird not being a freshman and being able to have seniority over someone.

(I apologize sooo much for the craptastic quality pictures.)

Anyways, today I’m not actually sure if it was out of me trying to pretend to be cool or from extreme laziness and lack of sleep I literally just wore shorts and a T-Shirt.

I wore a gray college T-shirt with a pair of blue jean shorts.

I paired that with my favorite Winnie the pooh sneakers and an old chain I found in my grandma’s jewelry box.

Now, on to the fun part!

I’m going to be a dweeb and tell you about my day, because It was pretty cool.

So, I was reunited with my lovely friends whom I haven’t seen almost all summer (due to my lack of social skills and their travelings and being real teenagers)

I had a free period with all of them this morning. So, what do you do when you’re bored on the first day with nothing to do?

Perform a séance.

After that I headed on down to Space Science. (That’s a pretty freakin’ rad class if you ask me)

And then….

Lunch.

Lunch was absolutely swell. I traveled by automobile with Lilly & Ashley and went to this extremely cute artsy café type of place…
This place is super cool, They’ve got painted records of people like Bob Dylan, The Beatles, etc. Imagine the coffee shop in friends… it’s like that except not as well lit, a bit artsier and smaller… They have really good food too, I got a grilled cheese and chips for under $4!

So, after that I had algebra 2 and then band…

Band is one of my absolute favorite classes. We get to learn about the production and making of music—as well as actually making the music. Picture this: A bunch of angsty teenagers with instruments, microphones, and wicked dance moves all in one room every Tuesday and Thursday… it’s probably my favorite thing ever.

Can I also add that during school, I called my crush on my friend’s phone on private and nobody answered so I left a message of me reciting The Great Gatsby from memory?

Shorts: You could get them probably anywhere, but I perhaps got mine from JC Penney
